I had plonked myself down on a step to put my running shoes on one morning this week, and the November sun was slanting its way in to make my room gleam quite beautifully. And to show me even more clearly than usual that I. Am. Not. A. Minimalist. In case there was any doubt. . . .

Is there any particular virtue in being a minimalist? Nature certainly isn't – look at the abundance of sunlight streaming through your windows.
I often admire the hotel-calm zen some achieve in their homes, all quiet neutrals and spacious . . . I just can't do that myself and I love your offer of Nature as a model. I do seem to fit into a rain-forest-lush-fullness model. . . .and for now, at least, that sunlight stream seems to approve. . . thanks!
