We’re waiting for the train, and I’m going to try again to post something. I wrote a post this morning with some photos from our two days in Paris, walking and walking and walking…. And then I tried to upload. And tried again. And tried again. And then the whole thing dissolved into Cyberspace.
So I’m much less ambitious with this attempt, writing more now on the train as it rolls out of Gare de l’Est. I’m saving drafts as I go, uploading a photo at a time, holding my breath.
Fewer captions this round, but I can tell you these photos were taken on our walk up to, and around, Belleville, up the hill and into a fuller understanding of Paris in a few ways.

We did have lovely weather in Paris, although it was quite cool until the clouds lifted each day. Where we are now is much cooler. . .
No people! (Well, yes, a couple, but still…) Early-ish morning? Argh, the days are getting shorter. I have added Belleville to my list for next visit. (And I loved The Triplets although had forgotten them…that funky music…)

We were walking by 9, Georgia, and it was still fairly quiet. We spent a wonderful day in Belleville a few years ago, and I'm so glad we made it the focus of one of the two days we had this trip. We're thinking we'd actually like to stay here next time — it's such a different Paris.
We're in Berlin now, but the focus is so much on family that I'm not sure what photos or blogging there will be. . . although it's always tough for me to resist…
Bicycles, lovely sidewalk cafe chairs, cobblestones… must be Paris. Looks wonderful.
