Watching the sunrise, waiting for a Toddler Girl to wake so I can scoop her up, maybe give her parents a rare extra hour of sleep. Her Cousin from Rome arrives today with Seven-Year-Old Cousin in tow along with another set of parents. A last weekend together here on the island, and the weather forecast promises sunny goodness for the whole stretch.
The only wrinkle in our plans is a big one–an urgent and legitimate request by a realtor to show the house tomorrow (believe me, we considered all the options, including a very solid “No. Wait until Tuesday!). We’ve been keeping it clean and organised, but seven extra people, two of them toddlers (oh, the travel accoutrements of a wee one!) put some serious demands on housekeeping services.
So I’m going to be distracted, and blogging will take a back seat for at least a few days. Not wasting any moments that could be spent cuddling –you get it, right?
Time to go back inside now and see if Toddler Girl is awake.
Wish you luck:-)
And a beautiful weekend with cuddling stress therapy

Totally understand!
The viewers will see an enviable picture of harmonious family life and will buy immediately. If they cannot see beyond the small signs of people living their lives then they are fools.
Fingers crossed.
Good luck, sounds promising!
What a beautiful view and good luck with your weekend.
Mon Dieu!
Oh yes I get it. For the next few days you will have your priorities!
Good luck with the showing.
Oh, of course we get it đ enjoy those cuddles and sunny days with your family …these are irreplaceable …hope the viewing goes well.

Oh, that view! And the sunrise (not to mention the chairs)!
A sunny weekend with that view is a true gift. And I can seriously relate to how stressful – if only logistically – it will be to show the house when you've got a full roster of live-in guests. I'm sure you'll make it happen but I can't say I envy the process đ Let us know how it goes!
Yeah, I didn't love it, but it might have been worth it. . . crossing fingers. . .
It will be a lovely weekend with the little girls! I'm sure that viewers will appreciate the potential for happy family visits.
Having had our house on the market, I do know the dilemma of whether to be flexible or firm with the estate agents. The pattern is to say yes for the first few viewings and then to become slightly more intransigent as time goes by, I found. Have a wonderful family time in your family home x
There were special circumstances for this request, and it seemed worth accommodating, but I can imagine channeling that intransigence! đ
The agents are very good at putting the pressure on, and pressing our buttons. A tough time for you xx
Have a great weekend blending family fun with real estate sales – the kids can pitch in and help- it will all come together and will become one of those "remember when" stories down the way. Cheers,
Jennifer
Good luck with this Frances.
It is hard work keeping a house 'viewer ready' and one of the many stressors of house selling. Good luck with it all X
I hope the showing goes well and that you got lots of quality toddler time in spite of the added issue of the viewing and related housekeeping!
Thanks for all your lovely comments — you know that I generally try to respond to each individually, but I just can't for now. I read them, though, and appreciated the support so much.
