Whew! That was such a good weekend, but it was really busy. I’m running just to stay in place right now, so I’m going to offer a What I Wore post in lieu of anything more substantial.
This is a comfortable, obviously casual, outfit I wore to teach in last week. Striped navy-white sweatshirt, The Gap; red J-Brand skinny jeans; Converse sneakers; and in my own little quirky humour, a last element to complete the Marine theme — thescarf I knit 7 years ago in Seasilk(yarn composed partly of seaweed, really! 70% silk, 30% SeaCell) in a Stormwater pattern . . . .
For now, that’s all I’ve got, but once the week yields a rhythm I can handle, I’ll try to do better. …
Hope your week is off to a good start!
I like this sassy look! And the seaweed scarf.
Sassy — I love it, thanks!
Love it! It's a fun, energetic and just a little whimsical look. So very you. A seaweed scarf, how clever is that?
Isn't that wild? I guess it's cellulose from the seaweed, and apparently it has some healthful properties (I know, I'm skeptical as well) — between that and the silk, there's a hint of ocean scent. . .
Wow, I love this outfit. I can envision your hopping aboard a sailboat in this outfit it's so colourful and trim, or yar maybe.
I sailed through my day in it, at least. . .
Oh my gosh, you are so cute!!!!!
I would thin of this as your happy, expressed.
Cute and expressing my happy — I like!
This is the cutest outfit! So "I live on an island on the West coast" meets Paris.
Perfect! I'm not only expressing my happy (see Lisa, above) but telegraphing my geographic coordinates!
Seriously love that look and the scarf in a yarn that I have never even knew existed.
Lovey sunshine here today and hope it is shining on your island too.
It's one of the HandMaiden/Fleece Artist offerings — they have such scrumptious yarns! And yes, the weather has been brilliant. Absolute perfection!
For some reason, I'm finding this nautical look really sassy. Maybe it's the shoes? I love the look and how could you go wrong with a scarf like that?!
