One Summer Day, at the Beach, all the family . . .

And now the chairs have rearranged themselves, invited a friend or two, and wait patiently for the family to assemble.

Meanwhile, the action is taking place elsewhere. . .

on the deck

 in the water. . .

The chairs don’t worry. They wait, patiently, knowing that food and wine and a campfire will draw the crowd in before long . . . .

And sure enough, soon the chairs are filled with contented people, laughter, full tummies, little girls drinking sparkling apple juice from fancy (plastic) wine-stemmed, fish-decorated glasses. And every so often, all the occupants in all the chairs fall silent at once, just for a moment. . . .

and perhaps they sigh, in their thoughts . . . .

 Ah, summer. . . .

Nola is getting so big! But she still likes her bunny so maybe she will be little for a little while longer.
