Tranquility, from me to you . . .

Thought I’d share some of the serenity I gathered during my indulgent weekend. . . . Spotted this tranquil scene this evening, grabbed my camera and trotted down to the beach, barefoot, to snap it for you. Now I’m wishing I was better at playing with all the dials on my under-exploited Nikon DX40. . . .and hankering after a new lens. . . .

Still, it’s a calming view, isn’t it? Enjoy. . . .

Oh it is fabulous. I miss it so much. Your "labels" are just what I need now. The good life. Anti-stress. Island life. The view from here.
I will make it a priority to get there in May.

Your photo transports me home. There is no place like our coast on a beautiful day. Did you ever read a children's book called Miss Rumphius by Barbara Cooney. The three things that Miss R had to do were to travel, come home to live by the sea and find a way to make the world more beautiful. I read it to my students every year when I was teaching. I hope that the beauty of the coast continues to provide you with peace.

It's simply, elegantly beautiful. There is just nowhere on earth like these islands and these waters.

So lovely … I hope those tranquil surroundings – and the odd indulgence – are helping you find some peace at the moment.

Peaceful. Serene. Tranquil. So full of beauty it makes the heart ache.
