Shoes Pretty Enough to Eat . . .

When I read this post on Jamie Cat Callan’s fabulous blog, I immediately thought of this photo I took of a delightful vitrine in Bordeaux last May. Jamie goes back and forth between candy-coloured shoes in Aldo’s and some temptingly colourful displays of candy.

Jamie suggests that we indulge our taste for shoes because at least they’re calorie-free. These pretties beg to differ . . . .

Oh perfect! Shoes with calories!! I saw similar ones in Libourne last spring. Too lovely to eat.

I am delighted to announce that my 35 American students know and use the "word" vitrine. Hurrah for fashion theory class!
