Finished my Half Marathon, tooting my horn!

Just a very quick post to say that I finished my Half Marathon today — my time wasn’t as good as I’d hoped, thanks to the cold, I guess. I came in around 2:05, which is slower than my last two halves, not the direction I was hoping for. Still, I did it, and although my chest is tight and my cough not particularly improved by the effort, I’m buzzing with endorphins and adrenaline right now.

I have a couple of stories about the race to tell later — and I hope to have a photo of my sisters and I post-run, post-crepes — but we’re having company for dinner, and I need to rest up a bit (I rest; Pater cooks — such a good arrangement!).

Yay!!! Well done, especially since you hadn't been well. Enjoy your dinner and look forward to hearing more about it. I wish I could overcome my natural laziness and run 🙂

'… and I look forward …' was what it should have said.

Congratulations! I've been grading papers instead of exercising and envy you the endorphins!

Congratulations! I'm totally in awe of your accomplishment (not just one, but THREE recent half-marathons!). Enjoy your dinner and well-earned endorphins.

Tiffany: Thanks! Do you do that too? Accuse yourself of laziness even though you're obviously hard working? My husband just shakes his head when I say something like that. . .
Terri: I have to say, I'm not missing the marking in the slightest! There are endorphins strictly from the absence of marking, never mind from the running.
    Hostess, Susan: Thanks!
Pseu: You are so attentive and have such a good memory — thank you!
Patricia, Mardel: Thank you! and Pavlova, you know you'll feel better, right? It's just finding the tmie to create the habit . . .

Duchesse: Yes, there is that — finishing is generally enough of an achievement for me, although I'd love to sneak in that one good time, just once . . .
Alison: I know, the personal chef stuff is pretty damn lucky, no denial!
