Garden Joy!

Almost wishing I could just stay home and enjoy working in my garden now that the sun is shining here and the roses are just coming to their peak — Constance Spry and Rosa Complicata are just beginning and they’re a once-per-summer blooming phenomenon. As well, my Acanthus mollis (Bear’s breeches) is finally (after at least ten years!) sending up some flower spikes, and I’m pretty excited about that.

But, oh dear, this bourgeois heroine must travel, so I’ll leave my garden for the delights of London and hope there will be sunshine and flowers waiting for me when I return . . .

    A collage of beauty…how clever!
Bon voyage…still would love to see the packable wardrobe…if there's time.

Bon voyage! Sometimes I too have that tug before setting off- wanting to go, but wanting to stay too. What a momentous trip for you two!
