I woke before 5 this morning, gave in and got up at 5:45 admitting that I wasn’t going to get back to sleep.
It was worth it.
I drank my tea while watching this.
And now I want to share it . . .
The Canadian Forces Snowbirds that will burn considerable fossil fuel in these skies todaycan add nothing but noise — their fancy tricks have little appeal for me. How can they compete with, or contribute to, this natural beauty?
That acrobatic flying is an acquired taste, but this… this is the greatest free show on earth.
Beautiful, beautiful, beautiful. Thanks for sharing your morning with us.
Stunning photos! I love watching a good sunrise. Are the "red skies at morning" a portent of impending rain?
Thanks for sharing! Patricia
Beautiful, just beautiful. I can see the sunrise from my treadmill in the morning, and did so this morning, but it could not hold a candle to this.
Duchesse: I haven't acquired it yet, altho' I'll probably stroll down and check it out in the next hour.
PM: Thanks!
Pseu: We did have some scattered rain today . . .
Patricia: You're welcome
Mardel: Exercise bike, treadmill, and swim — you mix it up, don't you!
So beautiful … thanks for sharing!
By the way, I meant to say on the previous post, your daughters are stunning!
Tiffany: Thanks! I'm a bit mom-biased but I put them right up there with a gorgeous sunrise!
So beautiful.
Christine
Your photos and your daughters are stunning indeed! And I absolutely agree with you about the Snowbirds. I mean, from an environmental, or economic, or political,or whatever point of view, I just can't see it. Also, they are so damn noisy!
Thanks for the photos. I will get up earlier tomorrow!
Carol
as we've agreed before, Carol, when we run the world . . .
that said, I'd better 'fess up — I did end up heading down to the pub to have a look, figuring I did enough of the cantankerous thing . . . Thora and I enjoyed beer and crabcakes and occasionally marveled at the spectacle. That's as far as I'd go to see it, though, and there has to be beer or wine. . .
