blog visits

I’m feeling more than a bit anxious because tomorrow Thomas over at Sunday Best is going to post a piece he asked me to write as part of a series on men’s fashion magazines. Every week or so, he’s been writing a review of a different magazine and he’s been following them up with guest posts. I’m not sure why he decided I’d have anything to contribute, but our cyber-paths have crossed recently en route to The Thoughtful Dresserand Une Femme d’Un Certain Age. At any rate, I was flattered to be asked, and had fun writing the piece (some musings on shopping for Paul over the years). But I’ve just come away from Thomas’ latest post, in which he reviews the Autumn/Winter 2007 Man About Town, and I’m feeling rather out of my league — not only is Thomas’ writing hip and witty, but he’s ever so much more knowledgeable than I am. Not to mention the sheer stylishness of his blog’s design. He also writes about music at Tyee and once posted about his discovery of tobiko sushi with quail’s egg on another blog of his to which I can no longer find the link (which is apropos of not much except that that’s a favourite sushi of mine as well). Check out Sunday Best because you’ll be entertained and learn a thing or two, and be tolerant of tomorrow’s guest poster ’cause, you know, she never claimed to be an expert!
