serpentine mitts finished

Here’s a pair of Mim’s Serpentine Mitts I began mid-October and finished by mid-November. They’re knit from Kroy sock yarn in a charcoal grey that I quite like, but that doesn’t show the cabling very well at all. I made these in the largest size (9″) so they could fit my husband, but I’m still deliberating over how well they are suited to the male hand and/or lifestyle. Any thoughts? Paul likes them and thinks that he would wear them, but I suspect he means for working ’round the yard where I suspect they’d be lost within weeks.
